The Iranian Nonviolence initiative's Main goals:

اهداف اصلی این حرکت

1- Talking and learning interactively about nonviolence, an ethically evolved peaceful and collaborative approach to human interactions, and to managing conflicts, especially in social, political, ecological, etc. realms.

 یک- گفتگو و یادگیری تعاملی در باره مبارزه خشونت پرهیز، که رویکردی تکامل یافته, صلحجو, اخلاقی و مشارکتی است, برای پیشبرد تعاملات انسانی و مدیریت تعارضات، بویژه در حوزه های اجتماعی، سیاسی، زیست محیطی و غیره

2- Creating a sustained bilingual forum within which Iranian people (especially inside Iran) can engage in peace-building dialogue (of un-demonization--in particular) especially with the American people.

دو- ایجاد یک انجمن دوزبانه پایدار که در آن مردم ایران (علی الخصوص در داخل کشور) بتوانند گفتگوهایی صلح‌ساز و در جهت هیولا زدایی بویژه با مردم آمریکا داشته باشند 

3- Uncovering and operationalizing (for the contemporary world) the rich and ancient heritage of Iranian nonviolence that exists indigenously in the culture (and especially poetry) of Iran.  

سه- بازشناسی و عملیاتی کردن (برای جهان امروز) میراث غنی خشونت پرهیزی ایرانی, که به صورت اصیل و بومی در ادبیات و فرهنگ ایران وجود دارد

4- Fostering genuine dialogue, to non-colonially support the very hard nonviolent struggles of the Iranian people (especially inside the country) as they seek "good governance," democracy, human (and especially women's) rights, social justice, religious freedom (in particular), ecological preservation, etc. 

 چهار- ترویج گفتگوی واقعی به منظور حمایت غیراستعماری از مبارزات بسیار سخت و خشونت‌ پرهیزانه مردم ایران (به‌ویژه در داخل کشور) که به دنبال "حکمرانی خوب" ، آزادی -- بویژه دینی-عقیدتی -- حقوق بشر و زنان, دموکراسی، عدالت اجتماعی، حفظ محیط زیست، و غیره هستند

Lay down your rifle 

[O' my brother--have compassion]

this monstrous shedder of blood.

This weapon in your hands speaks

the language of fire and iron. 

But [unlike you] 

as I face this Satanic machine,

built to uproot foundations, 

I have nothing but the language of compassion,

who [see no other way but being] a foe

The language of fire and iron

is the tongue of wrath and bloodshed, 

the language of Genghis-like hatred.

the light of [true] humanity may [somehow] carve a path

Yes! The light of humanity could carve a path

If God has given us the soul,

[be the one to] take it back?

in [a flashing] moment of [utter] neglect,

in all situations you say the [words of] absolute Truth, 

and [only] you seek the [full manifestation of] Truth;

And, let us [also] say that the Sacred Truth is [only] with you 

[that you are totally righteous].

[Even then] O' my dear brother,

one should not, 

should not pursue [the path of actualizing the will of] God

by using the [brutal] force of this fire-breathing heartless machine,

[which is] incapable of understanding words [of Truth/humanity]. 

[i.e., Truth does not come out of the barrel of a gun].
